George earned his B.A. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and Math from Rutgers University in 2012. He earned his PhD at UC Berkeley, with Professor Donald Rio, focusing on the structural mechanism of Drosophila P element transposition. In 2020, George joined Dr. Kelly Nguyen at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in the UK, where he applied cryo-EM to study human telomerase and shelterin complexes. His postdoctoral research provided significant insights into the molecular mechanisms of telomere maintenance, earning him the Jane Coffin Childs Fellowship in 2021 and the MRC-LMB Joan A. Steitz Postdoc Prize in 2022. In January 2025, George began his independent career at Princeton University's Department of Molecular Biology.

Lily earned her B.S. in Biology from Caltech, where she researched membrane protein biogenesis in Dr. Bil Clemons’ lab. She then studied for an MPhil in Dr. Lori Passmore’s lab at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, researching targeting and specificity of RNA decay. She is currently a PhD student in the Molecular Biology graduate program…
Ismayn earned his B.A. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Reed College, where he studied ABC-transporters contributing to bacterial virulence in Dr. Shivani Ahuja’s lab. He then worked as a Research Assistant in Dr. Steve Mansoor’s lab at the Oregon Health and Science University, characterizing the structure and function of P2X…
Lillian Kenner, PhD is a biochemist and structural biologist specializing in protein complexes and therapeutic development. She earned her PhD in Biophysics from UCSF, where she received the Clements Distinguished Thesis Award and was supported by an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. As a postdoctoral fellow at Genentech, she specialized…
Copernicus (Cups) is a grey Nebelung and Ozzy Osbourne (Ozzy) is a Siamese, both hailing from Berkeley California. They are avid bird watchers, enjoy Sushi, but passionately dislike the sounds of the dishwasher.
Olive earned her B.S. in Biochemistry from Utah State University, where she started as an undergraduate researcher investigating type IV CRISPR-Cas bacterial defense systems. She continued her work as a graduate student in the lab of Dr. Ryan Jackson at Utah State, where she used X-ray crystallography to determine the structure of viral…
Emilee earned her M.S. in Biological Engineering from Utah State University. She began her research as an undergraduate, designing hagfish protein-based membranes to mimic the properties of Bruch's membrane in the subretina. She continued as a graduate researcher in the lab of Dr. Elizabeth Vargis, where she developed hydrogel-like hagfish…
